TIPS ON EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT FOR STUDENT

TIPS ON EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT FOR STUDENT
Too often these days we hear of students complaining that they do not have or cannot find enough time to do things.

Everybody has 24hours a day, it's poor time management.
Brilliant students always manage their time well, not only do they excel in their studies but they can find time for so many recreational activities and hobbies.
You have to realize that time is precious, unlike money and other material possession, it cannot be earned back......hopefully this would help those planning for their exams and all.
Below are some few tips for time management

1. HAVE VERY CLEAR GOALS
You need to think and set your goals, be motivated. Once you have set your goals straight, you should then device means and be motivated to work towards achieving the goals, and ensure to overcome any problems or distractions that come along your way.

2. SET DEADLINES AND MEET THEM
Many students do not get their work or tasks done because they take things too easy. Given a project or any piece of work, be it a report, an essay, an assignment . . You need to set a time limit to do and complete it, once you finish your work on time, you will feel a sense of satisfaction and you can then move to other things.

3. GET YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT
The general principle is, "most important things first; leave the least important to the last.". When you have to choose among different things to be done in a specific time period, you use your wisdom to decide the order. Ask yourself questions such as, which is directing me to my goal? Are they really beneficial to me? Am I being swayed just by my emotions, feelings, or desirability?.

4. AVOID PROCASTINATION:
Procrastination is one of the things that will badly affect a student's productivity. It can result in time wasting. It should be avoided at all costs. It could be a major problem in both your career and your personal life also.

5. START EARLY:
Most of the successful men and women have one thing in common: they start their day early as it gives them time to sit, think, and plan their day. When you get up early, you are more calm, creative, and clear-headed. As the day progresses, your energy levels starts going down which affects your productivity and you don’t perform as well.
As a student, this applies not only to your day: it does to everything you will have to decide when to start everything in your student life. Make sure to start early. Never work against a deadline.

6. LEARN TO SAY NO:
Refuse to accept additional tasks if you think that you’re already overloaded with work. Take a look at your ‘To Do’ list before agreeing to take on extra work. Just remember to do it politely. Don't think that people will be disappointed in you if you decide not to help because most people never really think you will help; they are just trying their luck.

7. STAY OFF SMOKING, DRINKING, NIGHT PARTIES AND REGULAR SEX.
